If you follow my blog at all, you know I don't post much about myself. Hardly at all, in fact, except for posts about my books. In an attempt to be more active on my blog, I've started High Five Friday. I'm not sure what it will look like yet, or even if I'll be able to post every Friday; but the goal is to post some fun stuff about myself as I look back on the week in effort to allow readers to get to know me, and for me to get to know my readers.

Today I'll be looking back on 2019 and forward to 2020.

2019 was a pretty good year for me. I only had one release, the second book in my hockey series, The Nature of the Game, which is a second chance romance.

But I wrote three novels, two of which you'll see in 2020 (more on that below), as well as two short stories, one of which you can read for free here; the Stick Side series was contracted for Italian translations; and best of all, I got to attend GRL in October!

In the non-book world, I was able to see several musical theatre shows, including Come From Away, one of my top five musicals ever; travelled to Flagstaff, the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and my new favourite—San Diego; met one of my favourite young adult fantasy authors, Joanna Hathaway; and my two-year-old niece's vocabulary exploded! (You should hear her say "grand-maman," it's the cutest.)

Looking forward to 2020

I'm SO excited for 2020! I've already got the first half of it planned out. (I'm never that organized, so yay!)

First up is the third book in the Stick Side series, Shots on Goal, which released earlier tis week. If you've read the first two books, you might remember Mitch's best friend Cody? Well, he's finally getting his own HEA, and his love interest is someone who, on the surface, is his polar opposite.

Next up is a short story called Coffee Cart Thursdays that you'll find in a charity anthology called Love in the Springtime coming in March. Coffee Cart Thursdays introduces Marco and Lassiter, college seniors crushing on each other despite knowing they'll be going separate ways come graduation. (Fun fact: Marco was a small side character in the first Stick Side book, On the Ice.) This short story is a prequel to...

Home for a Cowboy, coming in June. This is the first book in a cowboy romance trilogy called Windsor, Wyoming, that I'm equal parts nervous and excited about. Think mountains, starry skies, summer in Wyoming, lots of pining, and of course: cowboys!

That's it from me today! I hope you're as excited about 2020 as I am. Stay tuned for next week when I'll post a review of the Shelflove Crate 25 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar box, which was a box full of bookish goodies to celebrate the 25 days of Christmas, advent calendar-style.
