Risking the Shot is out today! I’m so excited for you to meet Tay and Dakota.
Fun story: Tay and Dakota were not cooperative characters. This was meant to be an angsty book between an older single dad (if thirty-four can be considered “older”) and a young hockey player. It’s still between an older single dad and a young hockey player, but, as with most of my books, the angst is pretty minimal. I wrote this during the height of COVID-19, though. It’s entirely possible my brain needed low-angst and happy fluff at the time.
I hope you enjoy it!
And to celebrate the release of Risking the Shot, Shots on Goal (Stick Side #3) is on sale for $0.99 across all platforms! Get all of the buy links here.

Time for distractions? Hardly.
A chance at making the playoffs? It’s a dream for NHL forward Taylor Cunningham that just might come true. If he can keep his eyes on the ball—ahem, puck. And study for midterms. Dakota Cotton, eleven years his senior, isn’t just a distraction, though—he’s everything Tay’s ever wanted.
Dakota has no interest in introducing someone who might not stick around to his four-year-old son. Been there, done that, with the divorce to prove it. But there’s something about Tay that hits all of the right buttons and has him wanting to take a chance.
As things heat up between them, and the pressure to succeed hits an all-time high, will they risk a shot at happiness or choke?
As part of the release, I’m giving away a signed paperback copy, plus some swag. Enter below!
