If you follow my blog at all, you know I don't post much about myself. Hardly at all, in fact, except for posts about my books. In an attempt to be more active on my blog, I've started High Five Friday. I'm not sure what it will look like yet, or even if I'll be able to post every Friday; but the goal is to post some fun stuff about myself in effort to allow readers to get to know me, and for me to get to know my readers.

Today, let's do a brief recap of January and look forward to February.

On writing

On the writing front, I sent my current WIP, Home for a Cowboy (Windsor, Wyoming #1), the first novel in my cowboy romance trilogy (coming in June) to my editor, so I'm on holding pattern with that one until she gets back to me with her suggested changes.

Aside from that, I actually took almost the entire month of January off from writing. I admire those writers who can finish one draft and jump right in to the next, I really do. I am not that writer. I need a bit of a break between drafts to recharge my batteries. Sometimes that break lasts two weeks, sometimes it's three months. In this case it lasted almost the whole month of January, which isn't brief, but I feel more energized and better prepared to tackle my next novel.

Thanks for reading! Here's hoping February doesn't last five years like January did.
